The Potting Shed, Baginton, Warwickshire

This was our second visit to The Potting Shed, a small tearoom adjoining a garden centre next to the Quarry Garden at Baginton near Coventry (and almost opposite the Lunt Fort). Tea was served in a stunning and stylish giant red pot - almost worth the visit alone! It was tasty and there was plenty of it, and it came in china cups at £1 a head. Disappointingly, the disgusting UHT milk initially arrived, though when we asked, the staff kindly provided real milk and were pleasant about it. There is indoor and outdoor seating with pleasant surroundings.
RATING: Tea 17/20 Ambience: 15/20 Service: 12/20 (because of UHT milk) TOTAL: 44/60

This tea room has got to be the best in Coventry. Great views of the trees changing colour. Delicious fresh baked rock cakes with butter. And plentiful supplies of tea in a good sized tea pot, generous amounts of fresh milk and proper china tea-cups and saucers. Good, smiling unobtrusive service. An all round thumbs-up.
